Erasure – The Innocents
Erasure’s The Innocents is one of the defining synth-pop albums of the late 1980s and the release that firmly established Vince Clarke and Andy Bell as one of electronic pop’s most distinctive partnerships.
Originally released by Mute Records in 1988, the album combines bright analogue synthesizers, elegant electronic production and Andy Bell’s expressive vocals. It includes several of Erasure’s best-known songs, including “A Little Respect,” “Ship of Fools,” “Chains of Love” and “Heart of Stone.”
