Aaliyah – Aaliyah
Aaliyah’s self-titled 2001 album is a forward-looking blend of R&B, pop and electronic production. “We Need A Resolution”, “More Than A Woman” and “Rock The Boat” show the control and quiet confidence of her vocals against adventurous, rhythm-led arrangements.
This 2022 Blackground Records club reissue spreads the album across two red vinyl records. It gives the full programme generous space and provides a striking modern edition of a defining early-2000s R&B release.
