Air’s acclaimed 2004 album Talkie Walkie captures the French duo at their most elegant and melodic. Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin blend warm analogue synthesisers, acoustic instruments, delicate vocals and cinematic arrangements into a seamless collection of sophisticated electronic pop.
Produced by Air together with Nigel Godrich, known for his work with Radiohead, the album moves effortlessly between the dreamy intimacy of “Cherry Blossom Girl”, the weightless pop of “Surfing on a Rocket” and the quietly hypnotic “Alone in Kyoto”, which was also featured in Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation.
This is the original European vinyl edition from 2004, released by Source and Virgin. A particularly attractive copy for collectors, as it remains factory sealed more than two decades after release.
Condition: Factory sealed and unplayed. The original shrink wrap remains intact. Minor storage wear or small imperfections to the shrink may be present.
