Feist – Let It Die – 15th Anniversary Edition
Let It Die is the album that brought Feist to a much wider audience and remains one of the defining records of her catalogue. Originally released in 2004, it moves effortlessly between intimate indie pop, folk, jazz-inflected arrangements and understated electronic touches, all centred around Leslie Feist’s distinctive, close-miked vocal delivery.
The record contains some of her best-known songs, including “Mushaboom” and “One Evening”, but much of its appeal lies in its quieter moments. The production is spacious and restrained, allowing acoustic guitars, piano, strings and subtle rhythms to sit naturally around Feist’s voice. Rather than sounding tied to the indie-pop landscape of the early 2000s, Let It Die has aged remarkably well.
This particular edition makes the album especially interesting for vinyl collectors. Released to celebrate its 15th anniversary, it was produced as a Vinyl Me, Please club edition and pressed on 180 gram seafoam green vinyl, with a stated pressing quantity of 24,000 copies.
The presentation differs significantly from the standard edition. The record comes housed in a gatefold tip-on jacket featuring alternate artwork, accompanied by a custom inner sleeve, obi strip and an exclusive art print by Santiago Carrasquilla. The album was also remastered for this anniversary release, making it a thoughtfully produced edition rather than simply a coloured-vinyl repress.
For collectors of Feist, Vinyl Me, Please editions or carefully presented alternative and indie releases, this is a particularly attractive version of an album that has become a modern classic.
This copy is in particularly fine condition, with both vinyl and sleeve graded Near Mint (NM/NM), showing very little evidence of previous handling.
