Released in Sweden in 1985, Gemini is the self-titled debut album by sibling duo Karin and Anders Glenmark. The album occupies a fascinating place in Scandinavian pop history, combining polished mid-1980s synth-pop, melodic pop rock and ballad writing with the unmistakable influence of ABBA’s creative team.
The album was produced by Anders Glenmark together with Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Polar Studios, giving the production the clear, carefully layered sound associated with many classic Swedish pop recordings of the period.
A particular highlight is “Just Like That”, a Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus composition closely associated with an unreleased ABBA recording. Gemini’s interpretation gives the song a dramatic, polished synth-pop setting, while tracks such as “Slowly”, “Too Much Love Is Wasted”, “Slow Emotion” and “Another You, Another Me” showcase Karin and Anders Glenmark’s complementary vocals and the album’s balance between energetic pop and atmospheric ballads.
This is the original Swedish 1985 stereo vinyl edition released by Polar under catalogue number POLS 400. It was pressed by Toolex Alpha and printed in Sweden. The original printed inner sleeve is included.
The vinyl is graded Very Good Plus and has been carefully handled, with only minor signs of previous play. The sleeve is also graded Very Good Plus, showing light wear consistent with its age while remaining an attractive collector’s copy.
