Isaac Hayes – Black Moses
Black Moses is Isaac Hayes’ expansive 1971 double album, transforming pop and soul material through orchestration, deep rhythm and his unhurried baritone. “Never Can Say Goodbye”, “(They Long To Be) Close To You” and “Ike’s Rap II” show the scale of his approach.
This 2024 Craft/Enterprise club reissue is remastered, spread across two blue-coloured records and graded VG+ for the vinyl and Mint for the sleeve. The format suits both the long arrangements and the album’s imposing physical design.
