Nas – God’s Son
Nas returned in 2002 with God’s Son, one of the most personal and reflective albums of his career. Created during a turbulent period in his life, the record balances raw New York street narratives with grief, resilience and sharp social observation.
The album includes the explosive Salaam Remi-produced single “Made You Look,” the uplifting hit “I Can,” and standout tracks such as “Get Down,” “Book of Rhymes,” “Thugz Mansion (N.Y.)” featuring 2Pac and “Warrior Song” featuring Alicia Keys. Production contributions from Eminem, The Alchemist, Salaam Remi and Chucky Thompson give the album a rich and varied sound while leaving Nas’ distinctive storytelling firmly at the centre.
This European Record Store Day 2026 reissue presents the album across two striking White Marble vinyl records. Pressed by the highly regarded Schallplattenfabrik Pallas and cut at Dubplates & Mastering, it is a beautifully produced edition of an essential early-2000s hip-hop album.
