ZZ Top – ZZ Top’s First Album — Rhino High Fidelity
ZZ Top’s First Album is presented here in Rhino’s acclaimed High Fidelity series — a premium, limited-edition reissue of the Texas trio’s raw and blues-heavy 1971 debut.
For this edition, the album was cut directly from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audioand pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Optimal Media in Germany.
The record is housed in a heavyweight gatefold jacket and comes with a custom Rhino High Fidelity poly-lined inner sleeve and an exclusive four-page glossy insert featuring an interview with Billy Gibbons, photographs and images of the original Warner source tapes.
Long before ZZ Top became arena-rock giants, ZZ Top’s First Album established the sound at the heart of the band: Billy Gibbons’ unmistakable guitar work, Dusty Hill’s bass and vocals, and Frank Beard’s tight, understated drumming.
Tracks including “Brown Sugar,” “Certified Blues,” “Just Got Back From Baby’s” and “Backdoor Love Affair” capture the band at its earliest and most uncompromising.
The Rhino High Fidelity treatment makes this an especially desirable edition for listeners and collectors who want the album presented with an emphasis on the original analogue recording and high-quality vinyl production.
