The album opens with the landmark “Atomic Dog”, George Clinton’s defining solo hit and an enduring cornerstone of electro-funk and hip-hop culture. It is joined by “R&B Skeletons (In The Closet)”, “Quickie”, “Do Fries Go With That Shake”, “Double Oh-Oh”, “Nubian Nut” and other highlights drawn from his Capitol recordings. Together, the tracks offer a concise introduction to Clinton’s playful vocals, elastic grooves and unmistakably cosmic musical universe.
This is the original 1986 US vinyl compilation on Capitol Records, catalogue number ST-12534. The record was compiled by Steven B. Ray, mastered at Capitol Mastering and pressed by Allied Record Company. Its American pressing and strong condition make it an attractive copy for collectors of George Clinton, Parliament-Funkadelic and classic 1980s electro-funk.
The vinyl is graded Near Mint, with very little evidence of previous handling or play. The sleeve is also graded Near Mint and remains in excellent collector condition.
